Unrepentant – Lila Shaw
Lucky Lotto winner Amy Burns has had enough of family members begging for handouts. With her millions safely hidden from the general public’s knowledge by way of an anonymous trust fund, she’s moved west to find a new beginning. She’s also found Jazz, a taciturn employee at her gym she can’t seem to stay away from. Only problem? He’s an ex-convict. Can Amy trust the former thief with her heart, especially after her relentless step-brother discovers her whereabouts and threatens to expose her secret, or might an unrepentant bad boy be the real winning ticket?
Over the Edge – Stella Berkley
Nothing short of a lobotomy could make Roman King forget Sloane Holliwell—part angel, part devil, and all his. If only she wasn’t the love of his best friend’s life. Even though they’re broken up, Roman would never hurt his brother from another mother that way.
Sloane has been self-destructing since her darkest fantasy, Roman, cut her out of his life. When he finds her bruised at a bar, he saves her from yet another boyfriend disaster. But he still won’t claim her despite their obvious attraction.
Instead, he offers to teacher her how to be a submissive, so he can find her a master that will take care of her. Once he gets her in the playroom, though, he discovers Sloane is playing games of her own.
Death’s Angel – Kastil Eavenshade
Four years ago, Constantine lost the only woman he ever loved. Now the incubus is culling the responsible vampire brood’s food source. One by one he steals the souls of the blood sucker’s familiars to turn the human population against his enemy. Blinded by vengeance, he makes the one mistake that could cost him the retribution he seeks.
Half-werewolf, Indira is thrust into the hands of the vampires to maintain peace amongst the clans. Instead of being an ambassador, she becomes a prisoner and forgotten by her pack. When the vampires bring a mysterious man trussed into their dungeons, he stirs something inside long since buried. Sexy and beyond anything she’s dealt with, her beating heart yearns to sacrifice her soul for one taste of Constantine.
In the throes of revenge, can the light of one angel tame a beast bred in hell?
Finding Forever – Lynn Burke
Samantha likes to bang a guy’s headboard and take off long before he bangs up her heart. Temptation returns in the form of a Zeus-like, tattooed hunk, the man whose first kiss roused her teenage hormones. His arrival carries the promise for more, but Sam’s determination to enjoy a taste–or two–without risking her heart could cost her the chance at finding forever.
Temptations of the Cage – R. Brennan
While she’s never considered herself a submissive, Katrina Norton has always had a bit of a pain fetish, so when the opportunity to work at one of the city’s most popular BDSM clubs presents itself, she decides it’s the perfect way to indulge her darker desires and earn enough money to pay for the expensive medications her ailing grandmother requires.
But when she meets handsome club owner, Damien Michaels, Trina has to remind herself he’s a potential boss, and off limits. Certainly not someone she should be imagining kneeling before and begging for just a taste of what’s hiding beneath his expensive tailored suit.
If she could just get her traitorous body to stick to the plan.
Without Words by Lolly Tova
Ivy McPhee dreads attending her high school reunion, but she’s willing to brave her childhood tormentors to see the bad boy she sat beside everyday on the school bus. Though they never exchanged a word, a decade later, he still owns her heart, and she’s determined to find out if the connection she felt to him all those years ago was a shared experience.
Ollie Ashwood, lead singer of the successful indie band Infraction, is still every inch a trouble maker, but his days of partying and womanizing are over. He’s finally ready to claim the only girl he ever cared enough about not to sweet talk into his arms. Playing a set at his school reunion seems the perfect ploy to draw Ivy out and tell her she’s the woman of his dreams.
Any chance of the two alumni discovering the depths of their feelings for one another is shattered by a scheming ex-student. Only revelations about the past can get Ollie and Ivy back on the right track, but Ollie must first persuade Ivy to bear her bully’s teasing long enough to listen.

How would the Portals authors change the world? #giveaway
Hi! Welcome to another stop on the Portals virtual book tour. I had fun with these authors by posing a question to them. If they could alter Earth in one way, what would it be? ANSWERS
Michael Siciliano:
I have been fortunate in that no one in my family has suffered from Alzheimer’s Disease. There are more deadly diseases out there, but none of them rob a person of who they are at their core–their memories. If I could change one thing, Alzheimer’s Disease would vanish, never to return to anyone, ever.
Over five million Americans suffer from Alzheimer’s. Every 67 seconds someone in America develops it, and it is the 6th leading cause of death.
Havva Murat:
I’d like to decrease the effects of gravity. I’ve had thousands of dreams about being able to float.
Echo Shea:
That reading be celebrated in every culture. It would be a priority that everyone could read and have access to books. I can only imagine it would make the world a better place. Before doctors can cure cancer or AIDS they need to know how to read and have infinite resources at their fingertips. I can’t say enough how important this is. Not only would it make the world better as a whole economically, it would enrich the lives of those that didn’t have or appreciate such opportunities before. Most importantly, it would set free imaginations and ideas—it would be the domino to topple hate and ignorance. I can wish nothing better on the world than the freedom and ability to read. It’s like wishing that every person could live a thousand lives.
Anna Simpson:
Because the theme is fantasy, I’m picking a fantastical answer of add magic. I would like to think that most of us would enjoy a good wand of oak and unicorn hair. Not a Harry Potter world; we would still have some gadgets, but microwaves would be out if we could just warm something up with a wave of a wand. And I’m hoping food would be less scarce, so the third world countries and our homeless would be better off.
It would create trouble of sorts too, but somehow I think the human race could manage it. After all, if we went back in time far enough some of our gadgets today would be considered magical.
Maybe, a bright and shiny magical world is only a matter of time.
Christy Thomas:
I’d add an “Undo” button. The “undo” button comes in handy while writing, especially when I hit delete and I mean to hit copy. Wouldn’t it be nice anytime Mother Nature wipes out an entire town with a tornado, or people do stupid stuff like go to war? Imagine pushing a button and the damage is magically undone.
Laurie Treacy:
I wouldn’t have so many buildings and roadways. I would have more greenery, more bodies of water, more nature and open spaces, oh, and some portals to other worlds.
And now for the lovely. Isn’t it pretty?

Terri started writing stories in the 8th grade, when a little gnome whispered in her brain. Gundi’s Great Adventure never hit the best seller list, but it started a long love affair with storytelling.
Today she enjoys an escape to Middle Earth during the rare ‘me’ moments her three young children allow. When not playing toys, picking them back up, or kissing boo-boos, she can be found sprawled on the couch with a book or pencil in hand, and toothpicks propping her eyelids open.

Excerpt
We walked through the nursery door, and two small redheaded boys bounded across the floor, throwing themselves at Joanna.
“The red hair comes from their father,” she said with laughter while pulling the children from her skirts. “Adrian is three and Algar one. Boys, this is your cousin, Anne.”
Adrian peered up at me, brown eyes wide, while his younger brother toddled off.
“Hello, Miss Anne,” Adrian said.
An overwhelming desire to scoop him into my arms tempted me to kneel, but such a display of affection might have been unwanted. Entwining my fingers before me, I opted for a smile. “Hello to you, Master Adrian.”
“Mariella is the boy’s nursemaid,” Joanna said.
A small blond girl, not much older than myself, grabbed Algar and brought him back to his mother’s side. “It’s a pleasure to meet you, Miss Anne.”
“I look forward to spending hours with the three of you.”
“We’ll undoubtedly have a wonderful time of it, for both boys are quiterambunctious and amusing.” Mariella ruffled Adrian’s red curls.
Joanna snickered. “Why, they’re perfect little angels, I am sure, but I’m afraid Anne will be much too busy for the remainder of the day to find out for herself.” She bent to give her children another peck on their plump cheeks and, grasping my elbow, turned to the door. “Come along, Anne. We’ve a busy afternoon ahead of us.”
The master bedroom was the final stop on my tour. Shades of blue cloth decorated the windows, walls, and furniture, giving the space a similar feel to the drawing room.
I ran my hand down a velvet drape. “Every room is so rich in colour. Nothinglike Aunt Martha’s.” My arm dropped, and I spun to face her.” I don’t mean to say Aunt Martha’s home is dull.”
“I’m sure you didn’t.” Joanna smiled.
“It’s just, well…” I bit on my lower lip.
“You needn’t explain yourself to me, Anne. Now,” she motioned towards the door, “let’s see about a nice hot bath and some clean clothing.”
A hot bath. The thought sent pleasure through me, although heat flooded my cheeks. Doubtless my stench overwhelmed her senses. At least the other frock in my sack had been laundered a few days prior. It would have to do until I could make myself some proper servant attire.
Eliza, and another young girl in a striped apron and white cap, dumped pails of steaming water into a tub that sat in the centre of my new room. I stepped forward to assist, but Joanna placed a hand on my arm.
“Helen,” Joanna spoke to the maid I had not yet met, “this is my cousin, Miss Anne Tearle. I put her in your charge.”
“Miss Tearle, how do you do?” Helen turned her green eyes towards me and bowed the slightest bit.
“Fine, thank you, but please, call me Anne.”
She glanced at Joanna before nodding her consent.
“When you’re finished bathing,” Joanna said, turning to me, “look in the wardrobe and you’ll find a small assortment of underclothing I took the liberty of buying for you. And, I’m sure we’re almost the same size, so I’ll have Helen lay out one of my day dresses. We are going to take a short trip to my dressmaker, Mrs. Brody, and get you measured and fitted for more suitable garments.”
My mind froze in confusion, but a quick stream of words tumbled from my mouth a second later. “I have another dress besides this one, and whatever aprons…well, I can’t afford much, but if you would—”
“Anne—” Joanna squeezed my arm as a smile lit her face “—I insist.”
Realisation dawned and I nodded, turning away so she wouldn’t see the tears welling in my eyes. She didn’t want to be seen on the streets of London with a young woman of my standing. What lady wanted to traverse the City with another in rags? Under different circumstances, I might have enjoyed wearing a real day dress, but not that day.

Did Annabelle Blume ever have a broken heart? #nalit #giveaway
We have a very special edition of Meet the Author this morning with Roane Publishing’s Annabelle Blume as part of her book tour for her new novella, Old Flame. Don’t forget to enter the giveaway at the bottom of this post. Check it out.
Have you ever had your heart broken? How did you cope?
Of course I’ve had a broken heart. I was great at moving on from relationships. I accepted that they were over, cried a bit, and then went back out into the world. It helps if you don’t get so lost in your relationship that you alienate your friends. When my young romances were over, I always had a great group of friends around me to help me get through.
So you took the mature route. Awesome. Have you ever done what the author t-shirts threaten and written somebody you dislike into a story? No need to name names, or anything. 🙂 If so, what did you put them through?
No, I haven’t, yet. But honestly, I have plans to!
You HAVE to try it. It’s so much fun. Where did your hero come from? Someone you know? Dreams of the *ahem* daytime persuasion? What makes him tick? Inquiring minds would like to know.
Marc and James have been inspired by guys I’ve known in real life. I’ll go to my grave with their identities.
Hmm, I wonder if they’d recognize themselves if they read the book? 🙂 Are there any other fantastic novels waiting to burst free from your imagination in the future? Can you tell us about them?
Definitely. There are more books coming for Hannah, Marc, and James. Their story is far from over. And, eventually, I will be working on an Urban Fantasy, but that’s on the back burner while Hannah is doing her thing in the Hearts Aflame Files.
UF is my fav thing to write! I’ll have to keep an eye out for that one. There are a lot of stereotypes cast in a romance novelist’s direction, like they must sleep in slinky lingerie when most I’ve met are dressed from head to toe in flannel jammies when they hit the sack. Are you a warm and comfy girl? Or an in-the-buff or silk and satin kind of girl?
Why just one? Right now, being the middle of winter and all, I’m rocking my sock monkey PJs and fuzzy socks on a regular basis. In the summer, I’m known to sleep in a tank top and some boy shorts. Naked doesn’t really work–three kids and all.
Ah, it gives kids character when their folks strut around naked. Or is that trauma? *snort* Do you have any quirks? Odd little tidbits about you that few people know?
I wave my freak flag pretty proudly, so everyone who knows me probably knows my quirks. Let’s see…I can pick things up with my toes. How’s that for a quirk?
Ha! I do that too. I can even write with them in a pinch. 🙂 Biggest pet peeve, can be in writing or about people or circumstances.
Assholes disguised as nice people.
Oh yeah, that’s a big one of mine, too. If you could take back a single moment of your life, what would it be and why?
No regrets. I wouldn’t be who I am today without every single decision I’ve made along the way.
Wow. Oh yeah, me too, totally. Not!
Now that we’ve gotten to know Annabelle a little better, let’s have a look at the pretty, shall we?
Blurb
Hannah Sullivan has spent the past three months stalking her ex-boyfriend, lurking in the bushes and hiding behind fake social media personas, convinced she can eventually rekindle the love they once shared.
But when she meets Marc, who is everything James never wanted to be and more, she begins to wonder if she’s got it all wrong.
Hannah must come to terms with her own demons before she can decipher between her delusional mission and the man of her dreams.
